Portfolio

Marcos Navarro is a seasoned design director with more than 20 years of experience applying his multidisciplinary skills and design education to roles in graphic design, web development, photography, film and video production.

With an architecture degree from Virginia Tech, Navarro has applied his design and visual skills to create products ranging from newsstand magazines and websites to corporate annual reports and videos.

For 17 years, Navarro served as design director for the Legal Services Corporation (LSC), the federally funded nonprofit that funds civil legal aid for the indigent. In this role, he produced print, online, photo and video assets within LSC’s Department of Governmental Relations & Public Affairs. From annual reports to data-driven factbooks to branding projects to online photo and video galleries, the role required juggling multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines and engaging in cross-functional collaboration across the agency.

Navarro has also been employed by the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design, ARCHITECTURE magazine, B’nai B’rith International, and Stratton Publishing & Marketing. These roles required managing budgets, hiring freelance photographers and illustrators, and liaising with in-house/outside print shops and vendors.

Navarro freelance projects have included logo design, CD and LP music packaging, and a music video he produced and directed that aired on MTV, HBO, and PBS.
